AMD to buy Fei-Fei Li's World Labs for $8.2B in stock

AMD agreed to acquire World Labs, the spatial-intelligence startup founded in 2024 by AI pioneer Fei-Fei Li, for $8.2 billion in stock, with closing expected by year end. AMD backed a $1 billion round in the company just seven months ago at a $5 billion valuation, alongside Nvidia.
