Bending Spoons strikes $1.3B deal for Airtable in first post-IPO buy
Italian app group Bending Spoons is acquiring collaboration software company Airtable for $1.3 billion, according to CNBC. It is the company's first acquisition since going public, continuing a serial-buyer strategy that has absorbed a string of consumer and productivity software assets.
Why it matters: Bending Spoons is testing whether its public-market currency can fund the same roll-up playbook it ran as a private company.
