GE HealthCare to buy SOFIE Biosciences for $945M from Trilantic
GE HealthCare agreed to acquire SOFIE Biosciences, a U.S. contract manufacturer of PET radiopharmaceuticals, from Trilantic North America for $945 million in cash. SOFIE operates 15 CMO sites and already manufactures GE HealthCare's Flyrcado F18 product; it will join the PDx pharmaceutical diagnostics segment on closing, expected in the first half of 2027. GE HealthCare also gains U.S. rights to pipeline tracer FAPI-74.
Why it matters: Radiopharmaceuticals live or die on last-mile logistics, and GE HealthCare is buying the distribution network to clear adoption bottlenecks.
