Hexagon buys geotech software maker Rocscience from TA for $535M
Hexagon agreed to acquire Toronto-based Rocscience, a maker of geotechnical and engineering analysis software, from TA Associates and the company's founders at an enterprise value of about $535M. Rocscience will join Hexagon's Radar & Monitoring Division, and TA will fully exit its stake.
Why it matters: The deal pairs Hexagon's real-world radar sensing with Rocscience's predictive models, giving mining and infrastructure customers a continuous monitor-and-simulate loop.
