IonQ to buy cybersecurity startup Elisity for up to $1.3B in stock
Quantum computer maker IonQ agreed to acquire Elisity, whose software maps devices on corporate networks and auto-generates safer access policies, for $1.3 billion. The all-stock price includes $150 million in milestone-based performance incentives, and the deal is expected to close by year-end.
Why it matters: It extends IonQ's push into security beyond last year's ID Quantique purchase, pairing quantum encryption hardware with Zero Trust network software.
