Schneider Electric to buy PTC for $23.7B in all-cash industrial software deal
Schneider Electric announced plans to acquire engineering software maker PTC Inc. for $23.7 billion in cash, valuing the company at $205 per share — a 42% premium to its last close. PTC is best known for Creo, the design and simulation suite used by engineers building car parts and medical devices, alongside Mathcad, Codebeamer and the Orbit equipment-monitoring tool.
