SELCO and Numerica credit unions agree merger of equals

Springfield, Oregon-based SELCO and Spokane Valley, Washington-based Numerica announced a merger of equals. The combined credit union will operate under SELCO's Oregon charter with 38 branches, nearly $8 billion in assets and more than 325,000 members, with no planned branch closures.

Why it matters: The combination would be Oregon's second-largest credit union by assets.
