Vistra completes Cogentrix Energy acquisition

Texas-based power producer Vistra completed its acquisition of Cogentrix Energy, consisting of 10 modern natural gas generation facilities totaling about 5,500 MW, from funds managed by Quantum Capital Group after receiving all regulatory approvals. The assets bring Vistra's portfolio to nearly 50,000 MW of capacity.
