EQT-backed SatPort completes Speedcast teleport acquisition

SatPort, a carrier-neutral satellite ground infrastructure platform created by EQT Infrastructure, bought Speedcast's teleport business comprising 12 teleports in 11 countries. More than 100 professionals join SatPort, and Speedcast stays on as a customer under a long-term services agreement. Terms were not disclosed.

Why it matters: Growing LEO constellations need independent ground station networks, which SatPort aims to provide.
