Finning buys UK generator rental firm John F Hunt Power

Finning International has acquired John F Hunt Power Group, one of the UK's larger specialist generator rental companies, with 145 employees, about 2,500 generator units and six depots providing nationwide 24/7 coverage. Terms were not disclosed. Finning said the deal is projected to more than triple its power rental revenue in the UK and Ireland.

Why it matters: Temporary power is booming across data centers, healthcare and construction, and Finning just bought scale instead of building it.
