KORT Payments to acquire Toronto's AptPay

KORT Payments signed a definitive agreement to acquire all of AptPay, a Toronto-based payments technology company offering a single integration across rails including Interac e-Transfer, ACH, RTP and FedNow. AptPay serves merchants in Canada and the US. Terms were not disclosed.

Why it matters: The deal extends KORT beyond card acceptance into account-to-account payments and accelerates its US expansion.
