Midea completes majority stake acquisition in Esaote

Midea, the Foshan-based Chinese technology group, has completed its purchase of a majority stake in Esaote, an Italian diagnostic imaging company. Esaote will join Midea Healthcare but continue operating as an independent global medical equipment company headquartered in Genoa, with R&D and manufacturing in Italy and the Netherlands.

Why it matters: The deal strengthens Midea's global position in diagnostic imaging, complementing its DR, MRI, CT and DSA portfolio.
