NetApp completes acquisition of PEAK:AIO
Data infrastructure company NetApp completed its purchase of PEAK:AIO, a pioneer in next-generation metadata architecture and parallel file systems. NetApp will fold the technology into ONTAP and its Novus storage to support zettabyte-scale file systems for demanding AI workloads. Terms were not disclosed.
Why it matters: The deal strengthens NetApp Novus for AI clouds and GPU-as-a-service providers.
