Persistent locks up 94% of Nagarro, plans squeeze-out
India's Persistent Systems has secured about 94.04% of German digital engineering firm Nagarro after its voluntary takeover offer closed. Tendered shares totaled about 71.94%, on top of a 22.10% stake bought from Lantano Beteiligungen. That is well above the 50%-plus-one-share threshold. Having passed 90%, Persistent plans to squeeze out remaining minority holders and take Nagarro private.
Why it matters: The result clears the way for Persistent to build what it calls a global AI-led digital engineering player, a notable Indian outbound deal into Germany.
