S-Bank secures 96.6% of Oma Savings Bank in cash tender offer

S-Bank Plc said 32,088,337 shares were validly tendered in its voluntary recommended public cash tender offer for Oma Savings Bank Plc, representing about 96.58% of all issued and outstanding shares and votes, excluding treasury shares. The offer, announced July 9 and open from July 17, expired September 25. S-Bank will confirm the final result on or about September 30.

Why it matters: Clearing the 90% mark puts S-Bank in position to squeeze out remaining minorities and fully absorb a listed Finnish lender, consolidating the country's retail banking market.
