David's Bridal plans to spin off AI platform Pearl
David's Bridal plans to separate its AI platform Pearl into a stand-alone publicly traded company targeting a valuation of about $350 million, with closing expected in the first half of 2027. Pearl would own David's Bridal's intellectual property, and CEO Kelly Cook would lead it. The company projects Pearl's 2027 revenue to exceed $85 million.
Why it matters: The separation would let Pearl pursue AI growth while David's Bridal focuses on physical retail.
